Terms of Service

The short version: Bloom is free to play and doesn't need an account. Use it for your own enjoyment, play fair on the leaderboard, and don't try to break or abuse the game or its services. Any optional purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their own rules. Beyond that, the usual "we can't promise it's perfect, and we're not liable for things outside our control" applies.

Who this covers

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bloom app ("Bloom," "we," "our"), made by The Mit, including both the mobile app and the version playable on the web. By downloading, installing, or playing Bloom, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Bloom.

Eligibility

Bloom is suitable for all ages. If you're under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), a parent or guardian should read and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

Using Bloom

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Bloom on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. This license doesn't give you any ownership over Bloom itself, and it ends if you break these Terms.

Bloom doesn't use accounts, sign-in, or registration — there's nothing to sign up for. Your progress lives on your device; see our Privacy Policy for details on what that means.

The leaderboard

Bloom includes an optional online leaderboard. If you choose to share a score, you agree to:

• use a nickname that isn't offensive, doesn't impersonate someone else, and isn't misleading — we may reject or remove nicknames that break this;
• submit scores you actually earned through normal play. Please don't use cheats, bots, exploits, or modified versions of the app to inflate your score or rank;
• accept that your nickname and stats will be shown publicly to other players.

We may remove leaderboard entries or restrict access to the leaderboard for anyone who breaks these rules. You can ask us to remove your own entry anytime — see Contact below.

In-app purchases

Bloom may offer optional in-app purchases (for example, cosmetic unlocks). These are billed and processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their own terms and refund policies — we don't handle payments or issue refunds directly. Purchases are for your personal use within Bloom only and, except where required by law or app store policy, are final.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or assets of Bloom, beyond what the law allows;
• scrape, abuse, or overload Bloom's servers or API, or attempt to access them outside the normal app;
• use Bloom for anything illegal, or in a way that disrupts the game or other players' enjoyment of it;
• attempt to bypass or interfere with how the game or its optional purchases work.

Intellectual property

Bloom — including its design, art, code, and the Bloom name and logo — belongs to The Mit and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you.

Disclaimers

Bloom is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available forever, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features (or the game as a whole) at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Mit isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Bloom. Our total liability for any claim relating to Bloom is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, for most players, is $0.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Termination

You can stop using Bloom anytime by deleting the app. We may suspend or restrict your access to Bloom's online features — like the leaderboard or notifications — if you break these Terms, such as by cheating or abusing the service.

Changes to these Terms

If we update these Terms — for example, if Bloom adds new features — we'll revise the date above. Continued use of Bloom after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
